If I had this easy to follow guide on what being a (successful) actor in LA takes, I believe I would’ve saved myself a lot of time and guesswork. Being a theater student moving out to the big city, nothing but experience/trial & error prepped me for the move. No one takes the time to break down for you all of the other knowledge and skills it takes to be successful in the film industry here in LA. It’s so great to know how the world of ‘trying to make it as an actor in LA’ works and this book points out so many things to think about before moving to Los Angeles. I highly recommend this for actors. I wish this book existed before I moved to LA 10 years ago. It would’ve saved a lot of time AND MONEY! It’s especially helpful for beginners, but really good for anyone serious about acting.
